The Prosecution of Donald Trump

Donald Trump is facing potentially over 100 years in prison due to bookkeeping errors. Does even the most ardent Communist believe that to be just? Donald Trump was brought to court by a DA who campaigned on prosecuting him; tried in a district that voted less than 10% for him in the 2020 election; and the case was presided over by a judge who donated to Joe Biden's campaign.

Any impartial observer can see this was clearly more about silencing political opposition than justice for what is normally considered a misdemeanour. This was all done to bog up Donald Trump in legal fees and allowed Democrats and the media to label him as a convicted felon. Political prisoner is a more apt term.
